Good Email List Guidelines

It's important to ensure your email list adheres to the following guidelines:


  • Opt-In Contacts Only: All recipients must have explicitly opted into your email list. Purchased or third-party lists are not permitted. Contacts who have not provided consent to receive your emails can lead to high bounce rates, complaints, and poor engagement.


  • Fresh and Relevant Data: Contacts should be actively engaged and no older than 2 years to ensure accuracy and relevance. Studies show that a significant percentage of email addresses can become inactive or invalid over time, often within 3–5 years, making regular list maintenance crucial.


  • Maintained Quality: Lists should be regularly cleaned to remove invalid, inactive, or unresponsive email addresses.
