Add Bulk Contacts to your CRM: Excel Spreadsheet or CSV file
Learn how to create and manage your contact list in your CRM. Add bulk contacts from an excel spreadsheet or CSV file.

You will learn how to import contacts from an Excel or CSV file on your device.

Important
Make sure the columns in your Excel spreadsheet are labeled properly (e.g., Name, Email). The system will attempt to map these to the appropriate contact fields. Ensure there is no blank row below the headers and first row containing data.
Navigate
- Click the Contacts icon on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click the plus sign + in the top right corner of the contacts page.
- Select Import Contacts.
- Select Excel or CSV file from the contacts source list.
- Choose Your Device from the file source options.
- To upload the file, either drag and drop the prepared file from your device into the grey window or click the blue button to Choose File, select the correct file and click Open.
- Truevail will map the data from your Excel spreadsheet to the CRM fields. Review these mappings and make adjustments if necessary.
- Select EMAIL in the CONSENT section in the Configure Import window to confirm your contacts have given consent to be contacted.
- Select Newsletter in the LISTS section.
- Check the details in the Review Import window and click Next in the top right corner.
- Click Finish to complete the process. Your bulk contacts will now be added to your Truevail CRM.
Tips
Individual contacts can now be edited from the contact list, or multiple contacts can be selected to update factors collectively (e.g. Consent, Lists, Tags or to Delete).
