Create a new Social Media Campaign: Using your own Content

Learn how to create a new Social Media Campaign using your own content.

Note

We recommend making design edits via your Desktop to enable advanced features and tools.

Navigate

  1. Click the Apps icon on the left-hand side of the screen.

  1. Click Campaigns and select Social from the dropdown to open your email dashboard where your Social Campaigns Calendar will be displayed.
  2. Click the + sign in the upper right-hand corner and select Create Social campaign
  3. Type the title for your Social Campaign in the TITLE field in the pop-up window (this can be changed later for saved drafts if you change your mind) and click the blue Next button

Note

TYPE will autocomplete to a Photo Post, tick to select a different option from the list and follow the onscreen instructions for the alternative options.

  1. Check the PROFILES ticked are correct and click the blue Next button.

Add images

Add images from your device or an external source.


  1. Click + add photo(s).

  1. Choose a File Source from one listed in the options panel and follow the onscreen instructions to choose your new image.

Tip You can select multiple images at the same time, or repeat the steps to upload separately.

  1. Click Next in the top right and click the blue Save button.

Edit photos

Crop, change the ration, make adjustments (brightness/contrast etc), flip, rotate or zoom in.


  1. Find the photo you want to edit and click the pencil to the right of the photo thumbnail to open the editing tools.

  1. Click each icon in turn to make edits to the photo.

  1. When changing the ratio with Crop, click, hold and drag the photo within the window to move it.
  2. Click and drag the blue dot below the photo to zoom in or out.

  1. Click RESET to revert to the original photo, or click Done in the top right to save.
  2. Click the blue Save button to complete.

Reorder images

Images can be moved and reordered within the campaign design.


  1. Click, hold and drag the 6 dot icon next to the thumbnail of the image you want to move.

  1. Reposition the image to where you would like it to sit and release once in place.
  2. Click the blue Save button.

Delete images

Remove any images you don't want in the campaign design.


  1. Click x to the right of the image thumbnail and select Yes to confirm.

  1. Click the blue Save button.

Edit post caption text

All text in the post caption can be edited.


  1. In the POST CAPTION box, either highlight, delete and rewrite your text, or copy and paste your new text.
  2. Hashtags below the text can also be edited in the same way.

OPTIONAL: Add First Comment

Add a first comment for the post.


  • Tick the Add first comment box.
  • Type the comment in the red COMMENTS box.

  1. Click the blue Next button.
  2. Tick one of the SCHEDULING options from the list.

Note

The campaign can either be Saved as Draft for editing OR can be Scheduled to be posted at a later date OR if you are happy with the content, Posted Immediately.

Save as Draft

Saved drafts can be edited before sending.


  1. Tick Save as Draft.
  2. Click the blue Finish button.
  3. The new post will be added to the collection of thumbnails to the left of the Social Campaigns Calendar.

Schedule Post

Schedule the campaign for a future date - scheduled campaigns can be edited before sending.


  1. Tick Schedule post.
  2. Hover over and click the calendar icon.

  1. Choose the DATE from the calendar pop-up.
  2. Type the TIME in any format (e.g. 4pm /16:00) into the time field.
  3. Click the blue Finish button.
  4. The new campaign will now show in the Social Campaigns Calendar as a thumbnail on the chosen date.

Post Immediately

Campaigns sent immediately cannot be edited once sent.


  1. Tick Post Immediately.
  2. Click the blue Finish button.
  3. The new post will be added to the Social Campaigns Calendar as a thumbnail.
